A site called blogbelieve.com has posted up some scans of the latest Mojo magazine with a great interview with Martin L. Gore and other Depeche Mode and Mute Records related items. This is the issue that comes with the free CD, ”A Brief History Of Future Sound”, that Daniel Miller has put together. The official video for Recoil’s cover of Talk Talk’s “Inheritance” for the ‘Spirit of Talk Talk’ tribute album is out! Recoil’s take on “‘Inheritance’” features Linton Kwesi Johnson and Paul Marshall on vocals and the song was originally released on Talk Talk’s classic “Spirit Of Eden” record. The video was shot in Moscow and directed & edited by Recoil collaborator Dmitry Semenov. The 4th trailer to promote "Ssss" from VCMG is up and continues to be as bizarre as it is immensely fascinating as the previous trailers. It was posted up today on the Mute YouTube channel. If you're on there, be sure to follow them for all things Mute Records. Lots of good stuff, we highly recommend! I hope these videos will have some influence on the forthcoming Depeche Mode imagery. I love the rough edge to the simplicity of them. "Is Simplicity Best or Simply the Easiest?"..... perhaps, for me anyway. Mute label boss, and legend, Daniel Miller has put together a CD for the September issue of Mojo magazine. DM influence, David Bowie is on the cover and the CD is called ELECTRICITY: A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FUTURE OF SOUND. Lots of great electronic music featured on the CD with names like Nitzer Ebb, Caberet Voltaire, Can, Throbbing Gristle, Daft Punk, and more. I was trying to get the full track list together and just couldn't get it. I'll post it up when we get our hands on it. No idea if DM are on the CD, but they are for sure featured in the article. We'll have to wait and see if they made the track...
