If you think of bands that are in any way similar to Depeche Mode, ZZ Top are probably one of the furthest on your mind, and vice versa. Well, in an interview with Billy Gibbons published today on The Guardian, Billy admits that he prefers being compared to our Basildon boys, out of all bands:

While fans were waiting for Soulsavers' concert at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, many of them were occupied by something else: there seemed to be an hologram of Soulsavers in the venue. This amazing footage seemed to have been exclusively shot for this projection! If you look closely at Dave's lips, he will appear to be performing 'All Of This And Nothing'. Luckily, many fans quickly dug their cameras and phones out of their pocket and started taking photos and videos. It seems Soulsavers have been busier than we thought: quietly, they just uploaded a new song on Soundcloud, out of the blue. Apparently a new album called "Kubrick" will be released on December 4th, containing instrumentals inspired by the films of Stanley Kubrick. The song 'Clay' has been uploaded a few hours ago:

In an new interview with Clash about the new Soulsavers project, Dave Gahan says, "Look, there's going to be another Depeche record. We're not done" which has, of course, sent the Devotees into quite an excited frenzy. As it should.
