Depeche Mode live DVD gets a tentative release date

Mute founder and all-round label guru, Daniel Miller, speaking to trade publication Music Week hinted that a live DVD from Depeche Mode, shot in Barcelona, would appear in March of next year. Miller also said the enigmatic "The Posters Came From The Walls" film might see a DVD release in 2010. Link

Everyone once in a while here at HOME we pick a Mute release to write about because for one reason or another, we think it's noteworthy or it's just something we'd like to help push because it's a great release. One of my personal heroes, Irmin Schmidt's forthcoming album is one such release. Mute: Laibach does Wagner; announce the opening of the Laibach Kunst Exhibition

Mode label mates Laibach have always done things differently, and done them well. Now, the Slovenian art collective are taken on Wagner in a performance titled, VOLKSWAGNER. The event is taking place in Ljubljana on the 18th of April 2009, at the Gallus Hall, and it's promising to be the event of a life time! Later this summer, Laibach will be taking over Museum Sztuki in Lodz (Poland) with the band presenting 10 different installations. The exhibit will run from from 16 May – 23 August 2009.
