The Mission, or The Mission U.K. in some markets, are releasing a new record called “Another Fall From Grace” on 30th September 2016 featuring backing vocals from Martin L. Gore of Depeche Mode. The two have been friendly with each other for years, so seeing Mart included on the record is not much of a stretch (though it might be to some fans of either band). Wayne describes the record, “This album is the lost link between The Sisters Of Mercy ‘First And Last And Always’ and The Mission’s ‘God’s Own Medicine’” which is really exciting to those of us who are fans of those two records....

In a Q&A on his Facebook page on April 19th, Jean-Michel Jarre said that he'd reached out to Depeche Mode's Martin L. Gore in hopes that he might be interested in collaborating on a remix. Apparently Martin expressed he was interested in working with him, but unfortunately the timing was off as Martin was starting to prepare for a new Depeche Mode record. Considering his album, Electronica 2, was announced in February, Jean-Michel and Martin must have been speaking at some point in 2015 regarding this collaboration. It would have been interesting to see, maybe at some point it will happen....

Were not sure when the actual interview took place, but Martin L. Gore sat down for an hour interview with Rob Bell of The RobCast podcast and the episode featuring Martin was posted today. The two sat down in Martin's home studio and he gave Rob an insightful interview about the old days, success, and the possible future of Depeche. Like both Dave and Andy have said before the end of last year, he mentioned that the band plan to get together "in the next few weeks" (here in 2016) with the hopes that they will get started in April.
Now let's keep in mind Martin said these future plans casually...

The announcement was just made via Martin's official Facebook page and congratulations are going out to Mantra Of Machines on winning the MG remix contest! Martin went over all the submissions, a task he described as both "challenging" and " humbling" for him, and after the process has put him on the "verge of madnesss"... he has selected the winner.
