After months of complete radio silence, news are finally trickling through about not just one, but TWO really exciting new Depeche Mode releases. The first release - the hotly anticipated live film from Tour Of The Universe - is dropping in early November; the second - a brand new remix album - is tentatively penned in for early next year. Depeche Mode closed Hollywood Blvd – massive turn out for free show!

Depeche Mode just finished playing their first public live performance in three years. The free show - part of which will be shown on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! - took place smack dab in the middle of Hollywood Blvd, and drew crowds exceeding 14.000 by some estimates. Mode set to repeat the LiveHereNow success?

While no official announcement have been made yet, press in as far away apart places as Latvia and Israel are reporting that the band are planning on recording and releasing most (if not all) of the shows on their forthcoming tour. The band premiered this concept on the last half of their 2005/2006 Touring The Angel tour. Says Latvian promoter FBI, "the concert in Riga will be recorded so that it will be possible to purchase it in a CD format".
