Depeche Mode's long awaited concert film, shot last year at the Waldbuhne in Berlin, is heading to cinemas across the world this fall. The band announced the news via their Facebook page, saying "DM are excited to announce SPIRITS in the Forest, a new Depeche Mode film directed by Anton Corbijn, coming to cinemas worldwide on November 21."
The short post goes on to say that more details will be available via www.spiritsintheforest.com. Tickets will go on sale Thursday 26 September.

There are a few reports today that the much talked about Global Spirit Tour film and dvd will finally be released.
A couple of websites have reported that the film will be called "Spirits In The Forest" with one saying:
"On July 25th 2018, after playing to more than 3 million fans at 130 shows, Depeche Mode finished their Global Spirit Tour with a final special performance at Berlin’s famed Waldbühne (“Forest Stage”). Spirits in the Forest captures not only that live show, but also focuses on six special fans in the crowd that night."

Ian Gittins, a noted UK based music writer, has released a new Depeche Mode biography called Faith & Devotion. In the book, Gittins tells the story of the band from the very beginning all the way to the final gigs of the Global Spirit Tour in Berlin in July 2018.
As well as a number of fresh insights into the band's past, the book is filled with a huge number of photographs of the band through the ages.

Martin L. Gore will be featured in the Other Music Documentary film about iconic NYC indie record store, Other Music. The doc will be premiering at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival and features musicians from bands like Interpol, Mogwai, The Magnetic Fields, The National, and many more.

Moogfest 2019 has begun to announce the line up for the first phase of this year's Moogfest and Depeche Mode's Martin L. Gore will be there! Martin is set to participate in a “creative exchange” conversation during the festival, but we're hoping he might be doing a DJ set or a live performance as well. Perhaps a tall order, but we can hope right? A great line up so far with Depeche Mode support act and remixer, Matthew Dear, on the bill as well as many others.
