Permafrost returns with new single + a video 34 years in the making

Permafrost dug into Daryl Bamonte's archives for video material for their new single "Restore Us", and unearthed a some personal footage shot one afternoon in Dallas during Depeche Mode's 1987 Music For The Masses Tour. "Restore Us" also features two remixes: A real gut punching kick ass version by Pyxis and an absolutely fantastic electro-space-journey courtesy of the amazing MAPS (who has of course remixed for both DM and DG in the past). Maya Jane Coles remixing Depeche Mode

Fresh off the road supporting the band, it looks like Maya Jane Coles is also working on a remix for Depeche Mode! Which is very exciting. No other details are known at this time, but she hinted at it on an Instagram post this week thanking the band for inviting her to tour with them. She said, "What a pleasure it was touring with these super lovely guys. Thanks for inviting me @depechemode amaaazing show. Home time for meeeeeee. ps. DM remix coming soon" While we have heard some rumors of other songs being remixed from Spirit, we can't confirm which song she is remixing or if it will ever...

Delta Machine Remixes out now

The Delta Machine remixes EP from Boysnoize Records is out now as an exclusive to Beatport! You've heard the preview of the mixes on Soundcloud via Stereogum and i-D, but now you can buy them for your collection. There was some speculation on what this project was or could be, but it's a two tracker with remixes of "My Little Universe" from Boys Noize and Djedjotronic's take on "Alone".  No info just yet on the Sante' remix for "My Little Universe" that premiered via Clash Music, but we'll let you know if we hear anything. Alan Wilder remixes Depeche Mode *updated*

Alan Wilder joins Vince Clarke on the list of people who've done remixes for the forthcoming Depeche Mode remix album, tentatively set for release early next year. The two Mode legends' involvement signal a very interesting project is in the works. Also rumoured to be included in the project are YeasayerThe Yeah Yeah Yeahs!, Brandon Flowers and Arcade Fire.
