In the wake of Radiohead's recent move away from the mainstream music industry's major labels, MSNBC is saying the smart money on who's next to follow suit would be on - amongst others - Depeche Mode.The reasoning goes as follows... Eleven studio albums in, these synth-pop stalwarts arguably no longer need a major label in their corner. The group, which has recorded for Sire since 1981, can still fill arenas and land new tracks on DJ playlists without the support of radio. Well it seems iTunes has kicked off Christmas a bit early, as they released the much anticipated Dave Gahan live in Soho session today!
Available as a DRM free iTunes Plus release, the seven track live EP is the only officially available concert recording available from the brief Hourglass promotional stint.
Saw Something, Kingdom, Deeper & Deeper, Use You, Endless, A Little Lie and Miracles make up the set, which was recorded at Apple's Soho store in New York.
