Depeche Mode to headline Lollapalooza?
Depeche Mode are expected to headline the fifth annual Lollapalooza Aug. 7-9 in Grant Park, reports Chicago rock journalist, Greg Kot on his blog. Though promoters would not confirm the information Friday, multiple sources inside the industry said the the band are a lock to headline the festival alongside the Beastie Boys and a reunited Jane’s Addiction. Speaking to Kerrang! Radio, Fletch let slip that the band's current schedule will be beefed up with about five months worth of extra dates, with the tour ending in February 2010. At the moment the last show announced is in Florida on September 5th. Not to be outdone, Dave went even further on BBC Radio 6, revealing that the band have additional UK dates lined up before Christmas, and even suggested the band might play Glastonbury in 2010.
