Hilarious early DM press release

If you're on Twitter, I'm sure you saw this, but we had to share this for anyone who may have missed it. In an amazing score on Ebay, Brat (www.depechemode.com) found this hilarious early press release for Depeche that you just have to read. I don't even know where to start with the highlights, it's just one of those things you have to read. It's classic Mode in it's self-depreciation, but also in it's forecasting of things to come. VCMG "Aftermaths" info.. finally

After some back and fourth on when this EP was gonna see the light of day, the release info on the third single from the Martin Gore/Vince Clarke collaboration known as VCMG is finally official.  The "Aftermaths" EP hits the streets running on Aug 20th. There will be a 12" with remixes from LFO and Alva Noto as well as a digital single that will feature bonus remixes from Vince himself as well as Christoffer Berg and Gesaffelstein. It's great to get the info on this one and we look forward to it's release. Personally, I can't wait to add this 12" to my collection as I still obsess on vinyl singles. Here's...

A live Soulsavers gig with Dave?

We don't normally report on rumors, but social networking sites and the fan websites are all a buzz about a possible Soulsavers live gig with Dave Gahan. There is so much fan speculation on it, we thought we might address it and  mention what is going on out there.  Fueled by a now deleted Tweet from Martyn LeNoble saying he was looking forward to playing a "secret gig" with both Soulsavers and Dave, sites like depechemode.de, Facebook, and Twitter all went on to report and discuss the show. The rumored details are that it's an invite only show to take place Saturday, July 21st somewhere in Hollywood....
