Depeche Mode recently performed at the BBC 's legendary Maida Vale Studios for Radio 2's Piano Room Series and the video of the performance is now available. The band performed their new single "Ghosts Again" from their latest album Momento Mori as well as their classic single "Walking In My Shoes" from 1993's Songs Of Faith And Devotion. The band also performed a haunting cover of Scott Walker's 1974 single, "Sundown" . Depeche Mode were joined by the BBC Concert Orchestra who were directed and arranged by Cliff Masterson.

We just wanted to note the sad passing Seymour Stein of Sire Records. He was a big champion of Depeche Mode and singed them to Sire for the North American Market. He was a big supporter of punk, post-punk, and new wave bands and signed the likes of The Smiths, The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, Talking Heads, Ramones, and so many more. Rest easy Seymour and thanks for all the music.

Depeche Mode's "Ghosts Again" mixes delayed due to production issues with the 12". Vinyl records are time consuming to begin with, and to make matter worse, the first batch was marred by a VERY unfortunate typo. Release will be imminent once the initial print run has been repackaged.Remixers on physical formats said to include Gorillaz, Weird Wolves and Danger Mouse; with Lamb Of God and Cat Power contributing digital-only-exclusives.

Depeche have released a live performance of "Ghost Again" from the Vinegar Hill Sound studio on their YouTube channel. While only listed in the "Audio Production" and "Audio Mixing & Additional Engineering" roles in the performance credits, I think it's a pretty fair bet that the additional musicians are obviously producers James Ford and Marta Salogni. While subtle and nuanced, we're loving the little changes tucked away in the performance, let's hope more songs from this session show up soon. Also, I love seeing the reel to reel tape machines behind the band again. It was one thing to see video...
