Peter Rauhofer remixes “Wrong”
The headline says it all, really. Details on who’s doing the remixes for the upcoming Depeche Mode single is slowly trickling through. Peter announced his involvement via a very brief status update on his personal Facebook page.
This will be Peter’s fourth mix for Depeche, having already mixed “It’s No Good”, “I Feel Loved” and “Suffer Well”. That means he’s remixed tracks off of four consecutive Mode albums now, for those keeping track.

WRONG seemed *ODD* from the conference... let's see if it will trick us.

I didn't know Rauhofer did remixes of IFL and SW. Were they ever released - promo or whatever?

Spotted the URL says Peter Rauhofer and Frankie Knuckles are remixing Wrong which is bit odd as most of the Frankie Knuckles stuff I've heard is upbeat which isn't a word I'd use to describe the snippet of Wrong played at the press conference

I wish Mute will finally share this job with the best DM Remixer: Dominatrix from Germany. He knows exactly what he is doing and most of his remixes are just awesome! Check them on youtube.com (Dominatrix RMX). Most of remixers are just sampling song into cheap dance souless composition. Dominatrix doesn't reconstruct original song completely and it seems to me that he knows exactly what need to be added to extended version without original "data lost". Mute, make up your mind. Please.

I loved his previous DM mixes, so I'm assuming that his Wrong remix will be excellent too! Can't wait :)

@ToTheBone: I've heard reports of Frankie Knuckles mentioning this on Kiss FM, but since I can't get that information verified, it was removed from the final version of this little news story. I obviously forgot to fix the URL.

Second those thought for Francois! Frankie Knuckles is a weird, weird move though. OK, dM and house have been interlinked for years, but unless Frankie has changed direction in the last few years wasn't he mixing plinky-plonky house tracks? You know what I mean... I do hope in some capacity dM can approach Hybrid for a remix. They really are very, very good.

I think Knuckles has been used because he recently did a high profile mix for Hercules & Love Affair's 'Blind'. I agree he's a strange choice but it could be interesting, particularly as I think Wrong sounds like Fade To Grey by Visage. And I don't mean that as a good thing.Rauhofer will no doubt turn out another 10 minute stompy tribal thing for the US clubs which he's been turning out like clockwork for anyone with enough dollars for about a decade. Not sure about Hybrid Deep Dish or The Crystal Method either - they've had their day surely? Its all a bit 1997. Even Trentmoeller and Fischerspooner are a tad passe

I completely agree with Dima. The best DM remixer is DominatrixRMX, who has a channel on Youtube. I discovered him 2 years ago, and his remixes are really way above anything I heard until now. Hey, I wasn't even in the whole remix thing until I heard what he could do to a DM song.
