Warpaint to support Depeche Mode in North America

Rough Trade act Warpaint will be supporting Depeche Mode on the North American leg of the Global Spirit tour, kicking off August 23rd in Salt Lake City, UT and running through October 27th in Edmonton, AB, Canada. The Los Angeles-based indie rock/dream pop band’s most recent album, Heads Up, was released last autumn on the heels of the lead single, New Song, which charted on the Alternative and Adult Rock charts in the U.S. and the Mexican airplay charts.  Warpaint has a busy spring and summer ahead, with festival slots in Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Melt, Roskilde, and Blue Dot.  The all-female band counts Depeche as an influence, and have drawn comparisons to Siouxsie & The Banshees, Cocteau Twins, and Public Image Ltd.
