A new Soulsavers album is in the works…
So the word is out, Soulsavers have started on a new record! They released the news yesterday via Instagram with the quote, “Back to work then… All those dials aren’t going to move from zero on their own.” There has been no official announcement stating that Dave Gahan will be involved again, but Soulsavers did include his name in a group of names that will be coming together to discuss a new record in the comments on the picture they shared. Answering fans that were asking about Dave, and other collaborators, and they responded, “Please don’t jump to any conclusions. Yesterday was first day back in ‘the office’ after the holidays. THIS WEEK we are finishing up and tweaking mixes on our instrumental record we’ve been working on. Yes there are other projects lined up. This year is fully loaded with things we’re excited about – but there is no rush. It’s really cool that people are looking forward to new music & I’m super grateful. But when myself, Mark Lanegan, Dave Gahan, Josh Haden, Keith Richards, Ray Charles & Nina Simone are ready to talk about what we are all doing next, we promise to let you know. It won’t be long, but right now we need to get our shit together, heads down & work on some music. Thanks for the support, it means a lot. Best wishes for 2015”
Pretty exciting and we’ll confirm if Dave returns as soon as we have solid info on it. His comments about how much he loved being apart of the last record, The Light The Dead See, would lead you to believe he would love to return to make another record with Rich and Ian, so let’s be patient and see how it goes. More info soon…
