New Bomb The Bass album in May
The new Bomb The Bass album, Future Chaos, is out in May!
It has been 14 years since the last Bomb The Bass album was released and the wait for new material is over, the new album is called “Future Chaos” and it will be released in May of this year.
Tim Simenon, Depeche Mode collaborator, remixer, and producer, is saying that this record is a lot different then past BTB albums, it’s more electronic and the bulk of the music has been created with a Minimoog, the classic vintage synthesiser, giving the tracks a totally unified sound.
“It’s basically a Minimoog album with vocals on it,” says Tim. “I suppose the key element is its simplicity. A lot of the original tracks were quite complicated, so the choice was made to strip everything back and get rid of anything that was cluttering up the song. I just wanted the songs to stand out clearly. I wanted it to be as simple and direct as possible.”
Bomb The Bass will also be playing live this year with shows already scheduled for June 4th at the Astoria in London as well as The Big Chill Festival in the UK on August 2nd.

You know, "wo," you're probably right. It has nothing to do with Depeche Mode. Well, except for the fact that Bomb the Bass remixed multiple Depeche Mode singles in the past. Oh, and Tim Simenon produced "Ultra." Can't forget that. Oh, yeah, and he toured with them as well... You know, when I really think about it, this is a bit relevant for a Depeche Mode fan site. What do you think?
