CTA/BC Out March 20th in US

The remastered reissues of Construction Time Again and Black Celebration will be out on Tuesday March 20th in The US.

From underground heroes to enduring legends, Depeche Mode continues to be one of the most obsessed about bands of the past 25 years. Last year’s triumphant sold-out world tour earned accolades from fans and critics alike while their eleventh studio album, Playing The Angel, surpassed three million sales worldwide. With vocalist, Dave Gahan, guitarist/keyboardist, Martin Gore and keyboardists and Andrew Fletcher taking a much-deserved rest, Rhino gives fans a reason to celebrate – a Black Celebration of course – as it delivers the next reissues of its campaign to remaster and expand the band’s influential catalog.

Rhino’s retracing Depeche Mode’s musical journey continues with two albums from the early days of the alternative nation – CONSTRUCTION TIME AGAIN and BLACK CELEBRATION. Deluxe versions of each will be available March 20 at all retail outlets and at www.rhino.com for a suggested retail price of $24.98.

In keeping with the previous Depeche Mode reissues, all four albums will be released as two-disc sets that will feature the original album on CD. The DVD includes 5.1 Audio and Enhanced Stereo mixes of the original album along with b-sides, remixes and live performances. Each DVD also features a short film about the album featuring current interviews with band members. The deluxe packaging contains a booklet filled with lyrics, rare photos and more.

Vocalist, Dave Gahan, guitarist/keyboardist, Martin Gore and keyboardists and Andrew Fletcher released CONSTRUCTION TIME AGAIN in 1983. It was the band’s third studio album and the first to feature keyboardist and arranger Alan Wilder as a full-time member. The album’s nine tracks include essential listening with two standout singles “Everything Counts” and “Love In Itself.” The single-only hit “Get The Balance Right!” leads off the album’s seven bonus tracks, which also feature a pair of remixes as well as the b-sides, “Fools” and “Work Hard.”

Following the enormous success of Some Great Reward, the band returned in 1986 with the aptly titled BLACK CELEBRATION. Filled with intense ballads and hypnotic grooves, the 11 songs include the singles “A Question Of Time” and “A Question Of Lust.” A trio performances from 1986 recorded in Birmingham highlight the 11 bonus songs, which also include the non-album singles “Shake The Disease” and “It’s Called A Heart” along with several rare b-sides.
