DM cancel show in San Francisco
Depeche Mode has been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance on Wednesday, August 12th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California due to doctor’s orders that lead singer Dave Gahan be on complete vocal rest for 48 hours. Because of their busy schedule, a new Bay Area date will not be rescheduled this year.
“San Francisco is one of the most important cities to the band and we are devastated that we have been forced to cancel this date,” said Dave Gahan. “We hope to be back soon to play for all of our fans in the area.”
Refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.

This was the show I had tickets for. Me and all my friends are so upset. What a let down. This tour has been a mess it seems, one cancelled show after another, am I right?

No, you're not. The shows haven't been cancelled as a result of someone's ineptitude , they've been cancelled due to illness. It's no more of a 'mess' than if you get sick and can't go into the office for a few days. Shit happens.

I personnaly prefer a show cancellation and have DM making good music for a couple of years more ! Don't let DM be touched by the Mikael Jackson syndrom "I need medics to be ready for the show"
