Actually, I'm getting sick and tired of 'fans' rubbishing the new record when all they could possibly have heard are a few snippets of songs (farie = enough, for some reason DM keep uploading rather boring bits and the odd noise - which I agree isn't pleasing many people) but come on guys, get a life !! If you hate DM so much, go find another band you like, there are dozens of interesting new bands out there.
guys on the dm forum said the instrument is an omnichord..
some really old digital semi-toy synth that uses a touch pad & some buttons that let you pick the scale. there's lot of circuit bent ones on youtube
lol "i was marchin to the wrong drum with the wrong scum" ... i like the approach to the lyrics.. kinda hope some of the SOTU songs are more complicated though.. ?
this album is going to be awesome
So fucking good, I can´t wait anymore, been a fan since 1981 and I still love Depeche..
See you all in Copenhagen and hopyfully somewhere else. and to you people who dont complain.
DONT LISTEN AND DOWNLOAD SOMETHING ELSE... Love from Sweden
wot only 1 tour date in the uk?? and 8 in germany!!! wots that all about? i think its a disgrace, DM, you should be ashamed? i suported you all my life, however i will not be spending anymore of my hard earned cash on the DM money machine, that includes this very long awaited over hyped album! cant believe that no other depeche fans have kicked off about it? get a grip DM, you have thousands upon thousands of fans at HOME in the british isles, a bit risky letting them down under the circumstances dont you think? you release an album and tour in the middle of a massive world recession!!!! well good luck, i wont be seeing you!
As much as I'd like to agree with 'dude', I think you'll find dM are much, much bigger in countries such as Germany and other parts of Europe.
1 date in the UK *is* shocking, this will be the first tour I've missed since the early nineties as a result. :(
Here in Michigan, I'm feeling the effects of bands scaling back their tours as well. The Cure only played one show in the UK on their last tour as well, and completely skipped over Detroit. It's the sad state of the economy. Be lucky you're getting one show, it's more than some people are even getting.
I used the livenation site to purchase my tickets for the o2 gig they were priced at £35 and £45 which i belive to be a very reasonable price for concert tickets, However if any one out there got £45 tickets id like to know how. I went on the site at about ten minutes before the stated time of sales and no £45 tickets were available, I ended up getting £35 tickets in really crappy seats because thats all i could get. The credit card ordering process was absolutely hopeless with no seating plan available and all kinds of time limits to enter your details, It would of been nice to be able order them over the phone and speak to someone with seating plan info. With just the one british gig bieng played im sure they could have made it a larger venue(maybe wembley stadium). This would of caught a lot more press coverage, but i,ve also heard the rumors of more british dates once they done the states so i hope that there true. The £45 o2 tickets were for sale at a stupidly inflated price on other sites within half an hour of bieng sold on the livenation site,I know thats nothing to do with the band but its bloody frustrating!!!!!!. "WRONG" sounds a very promising track so maybe if it gets some airplay on some major stations and becomes a big chart success the band may well have to meet the demand of us british fans, and do some more gigs, PLEASE!!!
People like Dude REALLY need to shut up. At least you have a confirmed date. Try living in Atlanta, GA, USA...I might have to travel 500 miles to go see them in Florida for all I know, considering they haven't even released tour dates for US yet! So stop whining. And just to let you know, DM will be getting every spare penny I have this year, from singles to records to tours and wherever else in the universe they go. And you know what? Its all completely worth it, because I actually like my favorite band, no matter which way they turn..This year has really revealed the lines between fans and casual listeners..
exactly, relax.
note that not even the U.S. dates are posted yet. these aren't ALL of the tour dates.
you should also know that, yeah, they tend to either add shows, or do an added leg of the tour.
