Kingdom on new Lost Boys soundtrack

Dave Gahan’s Kingdom will be featured on the upcoming soundtrack to the new Lost Boys sequel called “Lost Boys – The Tribe”

The original 1987 soundtrack to the film Lost Boys has become a piece of 80s pop culture history, and it ushered in a new wave of rocking soundtracks that turned movie music into a genre and marketing niche all it’s own. It is right up there with the soundtracks to Footlose, Top Gun, and Dirty Dancing. While it featured new wave bands of the era such as Echo and the Bunny Men and INXS, its centerpiece was, of course, The Lost Boys theme Cry Little Sister by Gerard McMann.

Now, more than twenty years later, Warner Brothers is set to release the first ever sequel to The Lost Boys, entitled The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe. Seattle rockers Aiden have recorded a cover of McMann’s Cry Little Sister, which keeps to the original’s dark mood yet has a faster, more up-tempo beat to it. Aiden are currently in Los Angeles shooting a video for the song, which will appear on the The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe DVD and Blu-ray when it is released on July 29th of this year.

Kingdom by:Dave Gahan is a great song but I think that it's the wrong song for the movie Lost Boys The Tribe because it does'nt have much in common with the movie I believe that they should use 21 days by:Dave Gahan you could find it on the same Hour Glass album as Kingdom but I think that 21 days is much Darker & has great lyrics in refrence to the movie & a GREAT sound that would go excellent with the Lost Boys image for the sequel!Too bad.So close but yet so far.Listen to the whole song 21 days by:Dave Gahan on his latest Hour Glass Album & tell me what you think!Make sure to listen to the very end of the song I think the ending would have sounded Great in the movie!Any way listen & let me know I will be checking back soon.
