Fletch hits the slopes for New Years!

In a somewhat amusing, not to mention self contradicting, article that popped onto the interweb on December 29th, Andrew Fletcher is one of the many trendy, famous, rich and powerful people who hits the Swiss alps for New Years.

In the article, which was posted on the Swiss tourist board site Swissinfo.ch, a local head of tourism, Daniel Luggen, is quoted as saying “our hotels are very discreet”, yet they manage to go on to list a very impressive list of celebrities’ vacationing plans.

Now that’s the kind of discretion that money simply cannot buy!

For those interested, and we all know we all are, the “reported”, “rumoured” and “possibly appearing” New Year Celebrating Celebrities (catching, huh?) include German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin, American actor Johnny Depp, French president Nicholas Sarkozy, Ernesto Bertarelli, the French crooner Johnny Hallyday, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone, German football legend, Günter Netzer, Prince Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, billionaire businessman Richard Branson, actor Roger Moore, the Belgian royal family, and of course Andrew Fletcher of Depeche Mode, who’s boogeying down and generally freezing his ass off in fabulous Champéry with Liam Gallagher of Oasis and the guys from Daft Punk.
